Pros
I’ve had a super positive experience working at Trade Mastermind. The people are fantastic at all levels of the business and there is a genuine sense that everyone is pulling in the same direction. The company is fast paced, which comes with the territory of a business experiencing significant growth. What has impressed me most is that the business is investing in the right people and structures to help it scale sustainably. Hard work is recognised and appreciated, and there is a real effort to ensure employees feel valued. It’s also rewarding to work for a company that genuinely helps tradespeople grow their businesses through education, support and affordable services such as TGS. Joseph Valente personally interviewed me, and every interaction I’ve had with him since has been positive. He’s approachable, engaged and clearly passionate about the business. A special mention should go to the Director of Customer Experience, who I believe is one of TM’s greatest assets. She is compassionate, supportive, incredibly knowledgeable and an excellent leader. Despite what must be a demanding workload, she always makes time for team members and leads by example. She’s a huge credit to both the business and its culture. And, just to address the elephant in the room, despite what some reviews may suggest, this review wasn’t written ‘under duress’, coercion, hypnosis, or in exchange for free coffee.
Cons
The business is sales-led, which may be a culture shock for anyone who hasn’t worked in a commercially driven environment before. As with any growing company, communication between departments can sometimes be challenging. However, this is something the leadership team is aware of and actively working to improve, and I’ve already seen positive steps being taken.
