Pros
- The product was super cool. - Very Bright people in the Engineering Dept - With some work, their surgical robot could be a real game changer. - Stock options ! Overall this place has a chance still to be a great company. I am holding onto some stock from this place because there is a good chance the product will start to sell.
Cons
- Some employees there are petty and jealous - Nepotism in s/w dept - They are behind on salaries or just don't want to pay senior level engineers. - Wrong people in charge at high level. They are out of touch technically. - Lack of transparency (there are "secret" projects and products). This is a very old school way of thinking and makes it so there are divisions on teams. - Tech leadership is not the strong beyond first level - Management is very untrustworthy - Stock price :( My experience there was poor. I would just check out the situation carefully before accepting a job here. Essentially I was brought in to do s/w development and within the first few weeks of being there (6-8) they re-org'ed me on s/w maintenance and customer support of the old s/w and product. It became clear after this re-org that was their intention all along .
