Pros

There are some great people who work at TransPerfect. Not sure if they'll stay long-term because they deserve better! Office location

Cons

The glassdoor reviews you will read are entirely true. TransPerfect is a high-stress sweatshop. I read a review that said to run, and now I know why: There is no work/life balance here. There is basically no training offered. New hires (any level) are treated like 'pledges' and are expected to jump at the chance to do busy work for managers and senior managers. Every day you are reminded that their time is more valuable than your own. Senior managers talk down to everyone and are pompous. They are also two-faced, passive aggressive, and gossip nonstop. The environment is indeed toxic and sexist. The SVP makes the environment uncomfortable and on edge at all times she's in the office. She plays favorites and employees don't respect her as a leader. Turnover is a HUGE problem and management is not making any changes when clearly people are unhappy. The pay is pennies at best while you're taught to only care about markup and overcharging clients. There are no bonuses based off merit, or salary raises whatsoever. Hard work doesn't pay off. You get only a couple U.S. holidays off- 6? and no sick days. All in all, TPT is your classic definition of a company with a terrible culture and structure. Do not work here! I wish I would've listened to the reviews prior to taking the job.

Pros

The work isn't too tough. The people in the office are skilled and pleasant. There are decent benefits and you can work from home for 2 days.

Cons

The pay is bad. Decent for when you first start but raises are small and infrequent. Bonuses are even smaller and more infrequent. We were fully remote but slowly have been forced back into office for no good reason.
