Pros

There were no advantages to working at Transcom Egypt. Despite advertising competitive pay, the salary was not among the highest in the market. Additionally, certain employees were clearly favored by the management team, leading to an unfair working environment. Basic amenities were lacking, such as a cafeteria, and the office floor constantly had an unpleasant odor. The workload was excessively high, and there was a complete lack of recognition for individual efforts. Overall, my experience at this company was overwhelmingly negative.

Cons

- I had a highly unsatisfactory experience working at Transcom Egypt's Samsung Nordics account. My time there was fraught with poor management practices and an overall lack of professionalism. 1- Absenteeism and Termination: During my probation period, I faced termination due to absenteeism, all of which was due to being sick and held in the emergency room. Despite my probation period having ended, I received no warning or notice prior to being terminated. I was on my weekend break, and upon returning to work, I was informed of an HR meeting where I was made to sign resignation papers. This was framed as a resignation for personal reasons rather than a termination. The management refused to listen to my explanations and did not provide adequate time for me to find another job. Although they claimed I was recommended for a different account, no one has contacted me regarding it to date. I wasn’t the only one affected by these questionable practices. Another colleague of mine was terminated for the same reasons, and another friend was also terminated when she raised the issue of the lack of formal communication from Omar Sherif regarding the handling of 8 chats at once. 2- Unsafe Work Environment: There were several concerning practices in the account that made the work environment feel unsafe. The company seemed to let go of employees without reasonable excuses. When I attempted to submit my resignation due to these issues, the Operations Manager, Omar Sherif, refused it, assuring me of potential promotion and stating that I was at no risk. 3- Management Issues: Omar Sherif, the Operations Manager, demonstrated poor managerial skills. He is not suited for the role of Operations Manager and, at best, should only be a team leader. According to the client's agreement, we were supposed to handle 4 active chats at once. However, Omar unilaterally increased this target to 8 cases without formal communication. Another colleague who brought up this issue was terminated on the spot, despite her valid concerns. - Conclusion: In summary, my experience at Transcom Egypt's Samsung Nordics account was chaotic and mismanaged. The lack of professionalism and proper communication, combined with the arbitrary and unreasonable management decisions, made it a very challenging and distressing place to work.

Pros

Nothings good about this company

Cons

Micromanagement, the managers get to take as much time off while you are here working hard and getting verbally berated by customers, no time off and when you do take time off it gets counted against you. The onsite facility is gross and trashy
