After working at Transfix, I realized that a company is doomed when there is a lack of (1) trust (2) respect (3) vision. Transfix has none of these.
Problems go un-addressed indefinitely, and anyone who dares speak up is ignored, undermined, shamed, or demoted by management. Real questions and critique are routinely discouraged. It's a culture of shear fear and forced obedience.
New ideas from front-line team members are disparaged. All changes are passed from top on down, with no input from subordinates, who are treated like sweatshop workers, expected to just shut up and work. The product and technology are woefully defective and behind the times, yet any attempts to address this are met with hostility from leadership, shut down with a childlish lack of professionalism.
Transfix has no intention of actually innovating. Competitors are years ahead, and the gap is yawning. There is no roadmap to create anything interesting; work is a matter of just keeping the lights on, in the hopes that some acquirer, big customer, or investor will inject more money to keep the sham going.
I feel bad for people still there, but perhaps there is a type of person who could succeed, if they just want to collect a paycheck, not work that hard, and just take orders.
