Pros

Owned by Mitsui of Japan, a financially strong/conservative international company. Transfreight had offices in USA, Canada, and Mexico. Learned a lot about kaizen (continuous improvement). Most people have a sense of humor.

Cons

Was often slow on decision-making and had a culture of micromanagement at one time (maybe both of these have changed with new management).

Pros

Keeps you busy, fast paced. chance for advancement after one year. not much else to say as a pro. other than to say its a job.

Cons

Old equipment the shunt truck I'm using is 8 years old and poorly maintained. Little to no training on the job your assigned. Pay is way below what it should be, if there is a mistake in your pay it takes a long time to get it fixed. If one of the shunt drivers has a day off, management waits until the last min to try to get someone to fill in, leaving the other shunt driver to do the extra work.
