Pros

Good employees, horrible pay. You make more at McDonalds as an assistant manager.

Cons

It pays some bills. Not food though. You have to chose. The employees are fantastic, which makes it easier to grill rats next to the dumpster by your cardboard box. Everything is chaos and the paperwork may as well be on Mars cause you spend most of your time looking for stuff that has been done 20 years ago with poor documentation. They are great to put down on a resume though. It gets you a new job!

Pros

Growing small company allows employees to map out their career and take on new challenges Family-like atmosphere; Family comes first Recent influx of new investors New management with new attitude

Cons

Small group of unprofessional, resentful employees not willing to change from the "old" way of running our business while we grow (see review from 2 weeks ago); thankfully they are being weeded out quickly Acquisition of new technologies and companies can cause issues with constant influx of new tasks, personalities, issues

Pros

Flexible schedule. Lots of employees set their own schedule/hours (some employees worked 4 - 10hr shifts). It's a perfect job for parents of young kids (who often get sick). No issues with sick time and/or punching a clock and being hounded for being 1 minute late. Incredible sense of autonomy (Employees are allowed to manage their every day tasks - no micromanaging)!

Cons

Pay is not very competitive, however, the position gives you the skills necessary to achieve a higher paying position at other companies. Ie, it's a good entry level position for new graduates who don't have any laboratory experience. Learn a lot and push yourself to do your best while you're there, and you can move on to other higher paying positions in a few years.
