We appreciate that you want to focus on your work and deliver great products, that's fantastic - we hope everyone feels the same as you in that regard!
We provide a ‘chat’ group for the company to communicate widely across all areas. There are many ‘chat’ rooms for each and every project and team, the one you mention is meant as a light-hearted one for general use. If people are leaving dirty dishes in the sink instead of the dishwasher, it’s okay for people to call that out. If someone has left some goodies in the kitchen for everyone to enjoy, it’s okay to let people know on a group chat. I think you need to be flexible here - it’s good to talk! If it really is bothering you there is an option where you can opt out of that particular chat and you won’t see any notifications. This might ease your frustration?
Trust me, as the person managing the responses and as an advocate of it, nothing about Glassdoor is fake. The reviews left are from employees, past and present. Responding to the them takes time and effort and not something we would do if we thought they were fake. We take them seriously and we would hope you respect the fact that we engage with all employees on all matters raised.
It is fair to say that salaries, particularly in 2017, have seen a significant jump throughout the year. We do a thorough external market benchmarking exercise at the start of each year as it is in our best interest to reflect the market-rate as you said, otherwise people will be unhappy. If you are concerned about your own circumstances please do talk to your hiring manager in the first instance, or a member of the HR team.
It takes great time, effort and cost to hire an employee. Many hours of reviewing CV’s, headhunting the right person, conducting numerous interviews etc to ensure we get the right person. We certainly hope they spend many years with us and we look forward to seeing them develop their careers with us. We learn a lot from each other as employees and value that in-house knowledge sharing. We have many employees that are in the company a long time and we hope every employee spends a significant part of their careers with us.
