Pros
Great Travelzoo AU Sydney team including current SEA Country Manager. South East Asia Country Manager based in the Sydney office was/is a fantastic boss and leader also extremely hardworking. Younger Production staff seem to be more willing to coloborate and work together with Sales Managers with a real focus on working as a team. All departments including Finance, accounts and Marketing are happy to answer questions and discuss new options and ideas either direct or in the weekly company meetings. Salary incl base wage and Coms is great for this industry, but you do need to work hard to see the return, if you are new to the business and in Sales don't expect to make coms until about 6 months in. Travelzoo AU co-workers, International Tzoo offices, AU Managment, Senior Managment comany wide and even the Travelzoo CEO are all very approachable and easy enough to communicate with, I guess just remember how busy they all are and also - if you don't ask you don't get. (they can't read your mind - if you have a question or concern then ASK) “What you lack in talent can be made up with desire, hustle and giving 110% all the time.”
Cons
I believe there is still so much more potential for Travelzoo AU (especially LD's) and lots of revenue to still be made if done correctly, stratigecally (more social focus Marketing incl SEO) with the right skill set and open frame of mind.
