Pros
A lot of hours, busy, growing business. The owner John seams like a nice guy, they employ women and minorities in leadership positions.
Cons
Production floor management is a "put out fires and just get it done" style of leadership. Poor tool management and maintenance. Lack of standard training in safety and production methods. Low wages and no benefits which seam to stem from a thought out system to keep wages low. The employee handbook explicitly states you are not to disclose your wage to anyone as well as post anything about the company online like this review. Travis is a "2nd chance" company which means they will hire felons, and others with undesirable history. On its face this sounds like a good idea, but most companies I have seen do this, do it specifically so that they can keep wages and the cost of labor low. Lastly, the company and many employees have a serious christian bent. When I left, they were starting a second location near Austin where they have Bible studies at work. IMHO your religion should be left at home.
