Pros
tbh, nothing -besides helping people get released.
Cons
-the pay for the workload is bs -management has no backbone and not supportive of their employees -career ladder is hard to achieve unless you’ve been there 10+ years and a brown nosing -you can’t communicate your problems because everyone else will know by the end of the day or gaslight into thinking you’re the problem -you can get verbally abused by attorneys, judges, and coworkers but management won’t care. They told me “well that’s a judge, they can do whatever they want.” -the management, seniors, and a FEW of the employees all talk about one another -no one cares about your mental/physical health -just steer clear. Apply for jobs elsewhere or just stay away from Travis County Pretrial Services, because trust me that’s why every time new people get hired- they quit automatically.
