Pros

An education in the psychology of a short sales cycle. You get to see a lot local businesses and meet a lot of owners. High activity leads to sales. You can get a new territory and still go back to your old territory and stay on top of the prospects who's contracts will expire. You learn to overcome objections and develop a thick skin. Good entry level position to learn the trade of sales. Firsthand experience witnessing the psychology of closing the sale. Exposes you to a lot of businesses that you would otherwise simply drive by and not notice. Growth opportunity for those willing to put in the time and effort. Good support from management - you just have to ask for it. Initiate the communication with management and you will do fine.

Cons

You get a lot of "no's" or people just putting you off - it's sales. It is difficult to move up in pay tiers each month. Most sales don't pay very much, so commissions tend to be small. When you do get a "big" sale, it becomes the temptation to only focus on large companies - because that's where the money is. A lot of suppliers out there and most aren't very ethical and thus you walk in the door with this very stain and encounter immediate distrust. The psychology applies to both you as a salesperson and the prospect.

Pros

One of the best environments I've been part of for someone who wants to build a career in sales. You're set up to succeed from day one — the onboarding and training are genuinely strong, so you're not left to figure it out alone. The harder you work, the more you earn, and effort actually gets recognized here. Leadership is approachable and invested in seeing people grow, and there's a real path forward for anyone who shows up and performs. The energy is high, the goals are clear, and you're surrounded by people who want to win and want you to win too. If you're motivated and coachable, it's a place where you can grow fast.

Cons

It's a fast-paced, goal-driven environment, so it suits people who are self-motivated and energized by hitting targets more than those wanting something slow-paced.

Pros

One of the things I've appreciated most about working at Trelevate is how much the leadership genuinely cares about people at every level of the organization. From my experience, the president, vice president, and leadership team are approachable, supportive, and intentional about investing in their employees. They don't view people as numbers—they take the time to build relationships, encourage growth, and help individuals succeed both professionally and personally. Trelevate has created a culture where employees are valued, supported, and challenged to become better versions of themselves. The company invests heavily in training and development and strives to be more than just a workplace. It feels like a place where people can build meaningful careers while continuing to grow as leaders. I've also seen firsthand how committed the company is to promoting from within. Through my work helping with social media and internal communications, I've watched numerous employees earn promotions and advance their careers. There are genuine opportunities for growth, and leadership actively looks for ways to help people take the next step. Additionally, many of our roles involve business-to-business sales, which develops valuable communication, leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills that benefit employees well beyond their current position.

Cons

Trelevate is a performance-driven environment, so success requires initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. Those looking for a highly structured role with little personal accountability may find the environment challenging. Beyond that, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and it is difficult to identify significant drawbacks given the culture, support, and opportunities the company provides.
