Pros
Salary was nice, and the Christmas party was impressive.
Cons
Trifound keeps growing without fleshing out how it operates internally. The president, Gary Harris, dictates with a sense of arrogance, and he’ll even expect an employee to deliver way beyond his or her job title. I was expected to ghostwrite a 150-page book on top of my full workload. Had I not required additional compensation for doing work outside my title, Gary Harris would have proceeded to exploit me. Upon hearing my terms of compensation, Gary Harris proceeded to insult me by saying “I could find someone more professional [for that amount of money].”
I was terminated a few weeks later because TriFound is moving their headquarters to Illinois. I can’t say whether I was let go because of the move or the book, but I realized Gary Harris wouldn’t approach me to apologize for his attempt to exploit me for his personal benefit.
I advise any future employee to record any meeting with Gary Harris because it feels great having clear evidence of his arrogance.
