Promising Company a Year Ago... - Software Developer Triad Behavioral Health Employee Review

Pros

Good pay. Flexible work schedule. Decent benefits. Good people, everyone's fairly nice to work with / talk to.

Cons

Location is in Post Falls, and there are lots of employees from Spokane so the commute is long. Also, you pay Idaho income tax even if you live in Washington. I was hired as a software developer, but recently have been forced into providing more technical assistance/support than programming. Company fired good, knowledgable employees without replacing them. People from marketing leave the company without being replaced. ByDesign Films shares a building with us, and their employees are weird and stink. People bring their dogs to work and don't keep their dogs on leashes or in their office, so they'll just wander around and bark and disrupt work. As another review stated, there's too much in the way of office politics here to ever really feel comfortable having a frank discussion with anyone. Lastly, there is absolutely no opportunity for advancement, unless someone quits. I think this is really lame, but is one of the pitfalls of working for a smaller company.

Pros

Remote work. Interesting subject (psychology and counseling)

Cons

Abusive language. Very Condescending tone to workers of the lower level. Changed their mind about deadlines and requirements, then gets angry when asked for clarification from the writers. Assigns work then reassigns to someone else at the last minute (literally) while refusing to compensate for the hours already done. Agreed to pay me, then changed their mind saying they will dispute their credit card charges to make sure I don’t get paid. I have written for many companies this was the worst one by far. They are unethical, be sure to have your payments protected if you decide to contract with them.
