Pros

I worked as a DSP for this agency during college. I was looking to gain experience in the human services field and this was the perfect fit. I learned so much about supporting individuals with IDD and autism. I will never forget the amazing relationships I created with the participants I worked with. My favorite part was finding new ways to work on the individual's goals each shift and seeing them make progress.

Cons

This job is primarily out in the community so I missed having coworkers to interact with on a daily basis.

Yes- working in the field can be isolating. It is the nature of individualized services. We do offer Triangle Talks trainings to get our employees together to not only learn valuable job skills, but to have some pizza and socialize! And we pay!

Pros

I learn new things everyday and become a better person by working with people with disabilities. It feels good to be inclusive and care for others! I can choose my own schedule and it’s great work experience on my resume.

Cons

I rarely see my coworkers since it’s an independent job but I get to socialize with my participants. And I think the office hosts events for the job coaches and direct support professionals if you want to meet more people, I never went to one though.

Pros

Working here isn’t just about getting a paycheck biweekly—it’s about being part of a team that genuinely supports and uplifts each other. From day one, I felt welcomed and valued, not just as an employee but as a person. Supportive Environment – Leadership listens, coworkers collaborate, and everyone is encouraged to grow. You’re not just another number; you’re part of a community. Work-Life Balance – The company respects personal time and well-being, making it easier to maintain a healthy balance between work and life. Opportunities for Growth – Whether it’s professional development programs, mentorship, or promotions from within, there are real chances to advance. Positive Culture – The energy here is uplifting. Team members celebrate each other’s successes, and there’s a genuine sense of camaraderie. Commitment to People – Beyond work, the company cares about employees’ well-being, offering great benefits, flexibility, and a workplace where you feel appreciated. If you’re looking for more than just a paycheck and want a workplace where you feel valued and inspired, this is the place to be!

Cons

While the team is supportive, sometimes information doesn’t flow as smoothly as it could between departments.
