Work is good, environment sucks sometimes - Sales Manager Trident Transport Employee Review

Pros

Get to work with some great customers and the work itself can be very fulfilling and rewarding. Fun events and some good people. It’s a great job if you like talking to people and thrive in a stressful environment (in the best way possible), it’s fun to be super busy and then get everything you need to done successfully, feels rewarding.

Cons

They say you make the job what you want it to be, but management is incredibly micromanaging and will assume the worst of you, treat you like a child, not give you any room to grow on your own without doing it how they want. Not enough autonomy and management is never willing to change anything to make work environment better. Extremely negative environment where some employees use incredibly racist and disgusting language. I’ve heard the n word or c*nt or b*tch to describe customers and carriers more times than I can count. Management will not even consider hybrid work to escape toxic work environment and make employees feel like sheep being herded by dogs who aren’t afraid to bite you when you stray from the herd.

Pros

Love working here and the encouragement we receive. No micro management. Can access office any time. Company has great benefits and are always doing things for us outside of work for our hard work like baseball games and golf.

Cons

Can be stressful when drivers no show cancel on loads.

Pros

If you are skilled at phone calls, fast sales, tracking, and mitigating delivery issues, and can exceed load count booked per day expectations, you will succeed and can make great money entry level.

Cons

No job security - can be a great worker for years but fail one month's quota and be fired without even a day's notice, no severance, PTO not paid, and your job itself can be restructured in assignments, commission pay, who you work with or under, what tools you can use to do your job, and what rules apply to you vs others.
