Pros

This company used to be somewhat OK, a long time ago, when it was one of the first technologies to be deployed at Hydro One. Some of the technologies were pretty innovative in the old days. Some good people. Flexible hours.

Cons

Second-tier leaders leading to serious complacency and decline. Sales force cannot close any real deals. Technology group cannot innovate. Not a Silicon Valley company as all technology people are located outside the US (Canada). This company is struggling on life support, carefully consider before you join...

Pros

1. The work environment is casual: they have a hybrid office/remote work setup, and respect time away from office. 2. Colleagues are professionals: there is a lot of work to do and everyone stays busy without being micromanaged, but people also have time to collaborate on complex issues. 3. Management is supportive of the daily work, the long-term goals of the projects, and the individual career paths of the staff. I have time for education, heads-down effort, and social events when they arise. I was previously a consultant working for a large IT company, developing in whichever language a customer would want, Trilliant is smaller and more focused, which suits me. I am an older developer and Trilliant has a mix of older and younger employees across all departments.

Cons

I've been a consultant for over 20 years and have seen many difficult work situations. I have not seen these at Trilliant. I have not wanted to change my role so I have no exposure to the internal promotion system, but neither have I heard about any postings, so this may be an issue.
