Pros
The residents are wonderful and much of the clinical staff is as well. The organizations' mission and vision are outstanding and the employee perks are nice. PTO accrual is generous and there is a monthly gas stipend, which is an added bonus.
Cons
Communication is poor and mostly non-existent. The management team forgets why we run a nursing facility and can only concentrate on how much money they can earn in bonuses. Unethical and immoral practices are the norm and policies only exist for those on the floor. Leadership is the "cover your butt" style and write hundreds of coffee breaks half addressing things and walk around telling you to sign them while you are busy focusing on resident care. Housekeeping and maintenance are a joke. How many days in a row can soap and paper towel dispensers go without supplies? Should they not be checked while you are cleaning, oh thats right, you dont clean, it social hour on the company's dime. The pay is below average even for seasoned staff.
