Pros
The commission pay can be decent. There are often opportunities to work overtime for people that like that, although only a couple of hours a week. No Sundays.
Cons
I have never worked at a company that seemed to be at war with itself so much. The onsite team was great, but when it came to the overall atmosphere of the company there was no teamwork at all. The "compliance department" consisted of two extremely overworked people who seemed to have a hard time being consistent. One day we would do one thing and it would be fine, but if we did the same exact thing the next day we would be told we couldn't do it this way. It ended up costing us so many leases because we simply couldn't get people approved in a timely fashion. This is a tax credit program: for anyone who doesn't know what this means, trust me it looks nothing like leasing at a conventional property. Stacks upon stack of papers that need to be verified, re-verified, sent to our "compliance department," corrected, etc. So much extra work. There is never enough money in the budget to make the turns look good, and they lose residents very frequently. The hourly pay is the lowest in the area, but the workload is insane. The owners came once to see about redecorating the office when I was fairly new to the company: they didn't even look at anyone in the office, but instead walked around like they were royalty. This attitude trickles through the whole company and is frankly unprofessional and childish.
