Pros
A job cooking with benefits is nice. PTO accrual is very fast. Having a steady paycheck when only "essential workers" are allowed to work helps a lot. 401k with employer match even if low is good. Union, even if not a particularly helpful one keeps majority of potential management retaliation from happening.
Cons
Upper management shows little care for staff or staff needs, to the point that it takes multiple complaints to union and HR to have someone creating hostile work environment to be removed. Direct management mostly absent due to managing too many departments and most months taking at least a week vacation. Equipment old and often breaking down, often taking weeks to fix. Many times we have resorted to buying things on our own just to complete our jobs (with no reimbursement).
