Pros

There really aren't many besides getting your foot in the door at a company that works in the canna space. You might find a good reference for your next job from a coworker.

Cons

Severe micromanagement from people who have never been managers before and have no experience or ability to fulfill their roles; lack of respect for employees among management; strong boys club/inner circle mentality among executives (C-level positions for friends and family only, private staff parties that only some staff are invited to, hard drug use among inner circle of management); upper management retaliates and punishes people for speaking up about wrongdoing and corruption within the company; silo culture that pits white collar staff against blue collar workers; disingenuous communication at all levels; lack of coherent direction for growth or long term planning, mistrust and suspicion at every level of the company among employees; no room for advancement or promotion; no accessible benefits for anyone below middle management; horrific labor and management practices are enabled and ignored. If you like working long, thankless hours at a company where the people who are paid the most do the least, this is your dream job. If you like sending the same email or having the same conversations over and over and over again with no will to actually resolve internal problems, look no further. If you like having people who are half as qualified and twice as wealthy as you take credit for your ideas, apply today!

Pros

True Terpenes is a truly unique place to work. The environment is extremely open and there is a diverse employee population with different skillsets to offer. Opinions and open communication are both encouraged and valued. It is a high-growth company that offers opportunities for those who want to continue in that trajectory. Managers are invested in their employees and want to see them succeed.

Cons

With the company being on the smaller side, you often have to wear many hats. Some benefits could be improved as well, such as offering an employer match for the 401(k).

Pros

They gave us free snacks.

Cons

The insurance and retirement benefits were terrible. The CEO was detached and seemingly clueless about the day to day operations. Horrible people would get promoted all the time because they were sycophants. The company made reckless forays into doomed R&D projects, wasting who knows how much money. Layoffs and firings were extremely common, with "right-sizing," an annual or biannual occurrence. The R&D and Sales departments ran the company, dictating to everyone else what to do and how to do it. The executives all had a habit of throwing others under the bus instead of admitting their own mistakes. The culture was depressingly Machiavellian, with managers and supervisors all waging their petty little wars.
