Great place to learn and get real hands on IT experience while you're still in school. I wasn't just doing basic help desk tasks; I got to work on a variety of projects, support faculty, staff, and students, and learn from experienced IT professionals. The work was different every day, so I was always learning something new. My supervisors were supportive and understood that I was a student first, which made it easier to balance work and classes. Overall, it was a great environment to build technical skills and gain experience that translated well into future opportunities.

There wasn't much formal training or documentation, so a lot of the learning was figuring things out as you went. It sometimes felt like you were thrown into unfamiliar systems and expected to click around, make mistakes, and learn through trial and error. If you enjoy learning by doing, that can actually be a good experience, but a more structured onboarding process and better documentation would make it much easier for new student employees to get up to speed. Busy times like the beginning and end of the semester can also be pretty hectic, so there's a lot to juggle while you're still learning.
