Pros

The former president was decent enough to give out yearly bonus checks, lunch parties, games, trips. He hired all the right people and kept them around for a long time.

Cons

The new president got rid of all of the above, she fired, forced retirement, or pushed out all of the good employees, but told everyone she wouldn't make staff changes the day she got hired. She kept people who kiss up to her, and hired all her friends who have very little or no experience. She doesn't keep her word, she will belittle you, ignore you, and criticize you if you don't agree with her. Yet, she has 1 hour company weekly meetings about respect. What a joke! All of her managers are yes people, even though they don't understand the business. Although I agree with some of the 5S principles, they wanted to force this concept on a company that doesn't necessarily needs this all the way around. If you like toxic environments, like being your time tracked by a device, like being video recorded while you work, then this is the place for you. Also, there is no chance of moving up unless you are her friend or a kiss up. I whished I would have looked her up before she got hired, all of her reviews are the same.

These decisions included restructuring of company personnel and restrictions from the County & State that didn’t allow for company activities. Pros

Leadership cares about employee well being, not just the work, and is looking to elevate employees to see them succeed. Respect for all individuals is a big part of Turner Designs. There is continual improvement in mindset to ensure enough consideration has been given for how we're viewed by our customers (external and internal). If you want to know how to treat others with respect, fairness, and equality then this is where you learn what growth really is, when working for Turner Designs.

We're a small group, looking to grow.

Pros

There's cool tech there, which is a legacy from the former company management.

Cons

If you're an hourly employee, you'll probably be fine. If you're a knowledge worker you won't be happy here. The six sigma implementation here is ill advised and overbearing. If you interview and there aren't any other tech professionals on the interview panel, ask why and keep prying. If they would pull back on the six sigma obsession and start to follow Silicon Valley standards for engineering work environments (come and go at will, no detailed time/task tracking, allow work from home, results over process paperwork), they could mitigate the pain and might be able to start designing new products again. If not then it's survival of the fittest, which in tech industry means being the most innovative.
