Pros

• The appearance of rapid growth • Unlimited vacation policy • Opportunity to support the movement • Tales of upward mobility • Travel opportunities, hotel points, airline miles • Pay is $2-5k above market value for similar jobs

Cons

• They will kick you while you’re down • You will stop gaining new experiences after about a year • Every employee is young, inexperienced, and petty • Management plays favorites • Total boys’ club • Poor execution of policies and handbook, especially in cases of sexism or sexual harassment • Management will get involved in inappropriate relationships with their subordinates • Employees use each other as stepping stones – be VERY cautious who you trust • Someone is constantly out to get you • Will harm your reputation in politics in the long-run (TPUSA has a lot of enemies – you will not want to list this on your resume)

Pros

I've worked in a number of newsrooms, with all different types of people and personalities, and I can confidently say, hands down, this is the best job I've ever had and the best company to work for. Christmas bonus, fellow employees feel like they're also my good friends, good maternity leave, it doesn't ever feel like work. I look forward to seeing my colleagues and look forward to doing the work. Tons of room for creativity and new ideas, routine company reviews, good amount of vacation/sick time, wonderful work/life balance.

Cons

I can't think of a single negative thing to say about working here.
