It's fine for the extra money, but don't rely on it to be your main source of income - Tutor TutorMeLA Employee Review

Pros

It's a fairly easy job without having to do much physical labor. You kinda just sit in small groups with students and complete the assigned worksheets (or help them with homework) with them and then have them work independently.

Cons

Could use more hours, that's the main one. Also some schools are loosing funding so you may or may not be rehired for the same school the following school year. I thought you'd be able to start as soon as students go back to school but the program doesn't start till 1.5 months later.

Pros

Fun job! Working with the kids is generally fun and reminds you what it was like to be a kid. You really get to impact these kids and it means a lot!

Cons

Management is a bit inconsistant. I am on year two of working for them and the amount it changes that have been throw my way with very little notice is a little absurd. They expect a lot of work done during off hours and don’t provide enough time to get it done during the work day. I was recently asked to take in more responsibility with no raise. Not a great look.
