Pros

You can work 2 hours max a day and no one will ever notice! Not a high achieving/high pressure culture No frequent events you *have* to take part in

Cons

- Note: A lot of these glowing reviews are "warmly" prompted by Tyk HR during your first week which I think is very misleading! - Toxic culture centred around promoting the "nice" employees (read, the ones that are "yes men" to the CEO). This has promoted incompetence and has driven core functions to the ground (see product and marketing). I've never seen a company slowing down so quickly and constantly making the same ineffective decisions. Diversity is just on paper to look good to new hires. Women on the leadership tier are figurines with no decision power. Bias and directors' friendships run rampant. Different opinions are shut down if against the CEO mainstream take. And finally: the company has run "lean" all these years. Think of minimal perks (no healthcare plan for years because the CEO believes in public healthcare, whilst he can afford private insurance...) but some employees get the white glove treatment.

Thank you, to address your first point, productivity wins over number of worked hours, so if you managed to get a lot done in 2 hours, kudos to you! but if you fail to perform your role, it will be noted on bi annual reviews. We cannot force anyone to post Glassdoor reviews, we only share our ratings with new starters, the rest is their own choice, which shows how authentic these are! Diversity in Tyk is very important, we have targets to increase the number of women at Tyk, we are currently in 40 countries and our talent team works tirelessly to increase that, alongside celebratory and educational initiatives. As a woman, a foreigner, in the leadership team, I have to disagree strongly, opportunities are given constantly to create a space that fits within your vales and work style, and it has an impact. Martin (our CEO) has an open door policy when you can present him with ideas to improve processes and he appreciates that deeply. Lastly, global healthcare, that represents inclusivity, across 40 different countries across the globe, is not something that is easy to address in a fair way across the board, the CEO and co founders have been immensely helpful to those team members who needed care, and went above and beyond for them, we will continue to search for ways to enhance our benefits package. Thank you

Pros

The people there really know their stuff when it comes to the platform and the industry.

Cons

You are basically on your own. No real training at all. Overall it feels like a high school clique. The pay & flexibility of the role are NOT worth it.
