Pros

Generally the salary is good and somewhat comparable. There is some on the job training.

Cons

A department can keep you from transfering which can have a significant impact if your looking to advance within the company. The management style is very micro managed and the work enviroment is highly stressful/tense. Management approaches change periodically from process driven to results driven and back to process driven. This often times leaves employees feeling disconnected, confused, and frustrated.
