Pros

Salary not bad if you negotiate well. Firm is trying to move in the right direction but seems struggling to get there. You can do very well if you can network and schmooze.

Cons

Weehawken office in middle of nowhere. No facilities apart from a crappy, expensive in-building restaurant and a bar that stinks. NY commute requires you to depend on the abysmal NY Waterway ferry. If you live east of the Hudson don't even consider working there. IT is hilariously poor, with developers being forced to use VDIs which take 15 seconds to start Word. Firm is ridiculously bureaucratic and political; processes are sloooooow!

Pros

Good Learning opportunities, Tech savvy compared to other banking / fintech companies

Cons

Too much offshore, low cost resource strategies, Gap between functional & IT resources, CS merger favored many UBS employees and massive layoffs post UBS - CS merger. Hardly any bonus or pay increments.
