Pros
The location is nice since it is near LA, the campus is beautiful and the gym is very nice. The salary is competitive for postdoctoral positions.
Cons
The teaching assignments are too heavy. Sometimes, a VAP needs to teach 6 different course a year!! The living cost is also very high, especially the rent. There are few seminars in the department and the support for traveling is little.
