Pros
The benefits are outstanding, and everyone on the UCH side was wonderful to work with. Salaries are decent, and HR is always available for concerns. I also met a few physicians from the School of Medicine who were great with people.
Cons
Oftentimes, patients are relegated to the sidelines as physicians work through their own academic scheduling issues. While this may not be true over in Inpatient, there are numerous issues in Outpatient with physicians as related to their academic and research concerns. It is an extremely political environment, with employees from multiple companies working in tight quarters. This means that culture clashes often take precedence over harmonious processes and strategic initiatives. Although the physicians are top-notch in their fields, I would not recommend the hospital to family members due to the disorganization.
