Pros

You will work with some incredibly talented, passionate, committed and compassionate people across a variety of worthwhile fields. You will be working on projects with direct and tangible impacts on the health of the population UCLP serves. Great opportunities to network with great people from around the health system Good location on TCR, easily accesible and plenty of lunch options Good work life balance Can't speak highly enough of the overall workforce. Warm, inviting, compassionate, friendly, feels like a community. Genuinely couldn't ask to work with a better bunch of people

Cons

Low pay with minimal potential for increase. Organisation didn't even have a process for discretionary pay increases until last 12-18 months. Near-zero opportunity for career progression. No personal development opportunities/zero support in upskilling, training etc Claims to be a non-hierarchichal employer whilst simultaneously instituting hierarchichal management structures into teams that were previously flattly structured Management can not be trusted and are willing to lie directly to your face i.e. proudly announcing that there will be no job cuts whilst quietly making multiple members of staff redundant. One member of management in particular has alienated multiple members of their team and the wider workforce due to questionable behaviour (from a purely professional and decision-making perspective, nothing to do with the individuals personal conduct) Dysfunctional/non-existent HR processes Constant office issues i.e. broken air conditioning in height of summer, multiple toilets blocked on a near-weekly basis, only accessible toilet in the office being closed off for weeks at a time due to plumbing issues. Diversity in the workforce not reflected in management team, one colleague described it as "white on top, black and brown on the bottom"

Great Teams that offer support and one on one advice! Management attempts to engage employees and open the door to dialogue by creating the HARES program. Office Parties.
