Pros
They can be flexible with start times. They are willing to teach people with no prior micro experience so it’s a good gig if you’re a recent grad. You get overtime pay.
Cons
Pay is very low. Even with experience they won’t offer much. There isn’t any routine training in place. You just watch your coworkers do the testing but they don’t like it cause they’re either too busy to teach or don’t want the attention. It’s a very awkward environment in the beginning cause you’re bored and don’t know what to do even though you wanna help. Testing can take a while or happens later on in the work day so you have to be okay with staying late sometimes(this is common in a lab env). All you get for personal space is a drawer. Their LIMS is very slow and seems like it’s from the 90s.
