Pros

You can, on the rare occasions you were allowed to actually do your job and people actually came in, meet some interesting people.

Cons

Pretty much everything. If a negative rating existed this would be the worst. The working environment is, in terms of the shop itself, a disaster. There is no order and everything is chaotic to the point of danger. Any attempts to organise or tidy are soon overthrown by the designer (who we will mention in a bit) as he sees fit to throw things about and return things to a churning mess; often awaiting you when you return the next day. There is no autonomy as all things must be fed through the designer who will often ignore emails, texts or calls or would simply say that he would deal with it. Back again to the working environment. It. Is. Toxic. You are verbally mistreated, sometimes in front of customers, belittled, bullied and can never be seen as to have achieved something. This all coming from the designer himself. Customers were not even spared ill treatment. He would ignore for weeks on end contact with customers who ordered online if there was a complaint or a return of funds was required; some even phoned on a daily basis from overseas. You are then left in an awkward position of saying to them that the designer is dealing with it and there is nothing you are able to do except remind him. In the end, no matter what you did or tried it would always end up being your fault. To top this off you are never paid on time and when you do eventually get paid it is never in full leaving you to chase the rest of your paycheck. I cannot even begin to describe the grief working at Unconditional gave me. The only silver lining being the banding together of fellow employees at the time of our shared horror and the eventual relief we all shared upon departure. My advice is to steer well clear. Save yourself so much hassle and hardship. No one ever deserves to feel or be treated the way we were there.
