Pros
UNDO has an exceptional team with a clear, single mission. It is incredibly inspiring working alongside leading scientists, strategists, carbon experts, tech gurus and creative thinkers. Whether I'm out in the field filming, speaking with farmers at events or selecting imagery for our new website, each day is incredibly varied and it's a joy to be constantly learning. This will be a career-defining role for me.
Other pros include:
- Lively, collaborative offices in both London and Scotland
- Remote-first, flexible working which is great with my dog
- Whole company offsite each year, usually spent yomping around the Scottish countryside
- Three volunteering days per year
- A really supportive culture that promotes well-being, connecting with our colleagues and recognising achievements
- Excellent learning and development opportunities e.g. career coaches
Cons
As with any start-up, the role is fast-paced and the rate of change is rapid. To thrive, it's important to be resilient, flexible and open to uncertainty. The entire team works incredibly hard because they truly care.
Due to remote working, comms can feel a little siloed at times. We have weekly whole-company calls, weekly team calls, weekly 1:1s, a Monday morning newsletter from across the business and also Slack.
