Pros
It was a pleasure working with my team at UNFI and I greatly enjoyed my time there. The role has evolved rapidly over the year. Lots of procedures were streamlined and standardized to allow for smoother flow of information. Unfortunately, I left my job to pursue other opportunities but I left with joy in my heart that I had been able to take part in all these transformational changes and projects. It can be a very diverse job. You may receive a request to update one price which is pretty much data entry, or a request to do 10,000 entries which means you'll need VBA skills to load them into the system. There are also other projects such as system testing/mapping, tax analysis, various investigations or analysis etc. which you may be able to participate in.
Cons
-Since this team has full access to the system, if the system shows discrepancies for whatever reasons, there are a lot to be answered for. - 40 hour week - 10 days holiday to start with but may be negotiated. - a tracker to measure your "output". -no opportunity for career growth within the team.
