      - an excellent salary as an intern compared to other agencies. - The intern community is very welcome. - In general, people are nice.

      -(depending on your team) they relegate you too much to the status or hierarchy of an intern. - So sometimes the tasks can be basic. - there are no opportunities for further growth - contracts are extremely unstable

      Good benefits, you really do help people

      Human Resources takes a highly specialized approach to talent management. In that you cannot really change functions easily in UNHCR. You have to hyper-specialize in one area. So if you are a protection staff, you tend to burn out from trauma without an internal mechanism to alleviate the burnout. The higher you go in UNHCR, the crazier you become.
