Pros

I spent nearly 4 years at UFR and truly saw it's mission in action! You're taking on America's, better yet, the world's largest employers with passionate people and winning. Winning looks different for each campaign, it can be building up a committee, writing a white report, getting a higher percentage of votes during shareholder season, getting workers a seat at the table, or getting someone their job back. I learned a lot during my four years there and wouldn't change a thing!

Cons

Unfortunately during my time at UFR there was a bit of staff turn over, I truly believe it was out of the hands of the board as well as leadership. Saw some well intentioned organizers leave. It didn't impact my small team but I do think it's hard to accomplish the mission of the organization without experienced organizers talking to their colleagues.
