Pros

variety of tasks. social, admin, therapy.

Cons

If the specific clinic you are in is a mill and uses rehab aides as workhorses to treat their patients instead of therapists and they bill insurance "creatively", you will have a bad time and feel behind in everything. If the clinic and therapists have professionalism, balance, and integrity and they really do only bill for the time they specifically see the patient, you will be able to fulfill your duties and it can be a very fun job with new things every day (but in a good way). You will have a lot of things to do in all aspects of the clinic and it makes a huge difference. Use it to network and develop your skills. Don't be afraid to ask questions and develop your own flow. Excellent summer job, or for students. I know several people in their 50s who have been rehab aides for decades as well. Be reliable, be professional, and if management is pressing on you to develop bad habits, leave. Full time benefits are fantastic, PTO accrual is about 5 hours per two-week pay period. Familiarize yourself with the policies and opportunities, make the most of it, overall a fantastic experience for me.

Many positions don't ensure equity in salary offers between new hires and existing staff with the same or lower skills/experience.
