Pros
There was a week long prep course where you should absorb everything that you can. You are then let go to work on your own. The job involves going from house to house and verifying addresses. They change a lot in ten years. You are taught what to do in each scenario that can occur. You have a hand held computer that you input all your information and send it to headquarters every night. You are paid for your mileage. You are on a team. You meet twice a week with your team. You are paid for all of that. It is quite a fun job.
Cons
Houses high on hills and you have to walk up to the porch. A steep climb. Working in the rain can be bad for some but I didn't mind it. If you have arthritic knees or legs, they can hurt. Everyone at the Census Bureau is a temporary employee, so things can seem right confusing sometimes.
