Pros

- I'm lucky enough to have a great coworkers on a store level. That's it. If you don't luck out, there are very few redeeming qualities. - Store management at my location is great. Very understanding and supportive, but they're only able to do so much to making things run smoother at a store level with the systems put in place by corporate.

Cons

- Raises don't even come close to matching inflation (4% on average) - Upper management is extremely detached from store responsibilities - Current employees are not likely to move up in the company. The highest you'll go is store manager and that's if you luck out, spend 2-3 years at a store, or move. Store employees are not considered for corporate jobs even with qualifications and knowledge of store operations. - Employees are in no way rewarded or recognized for work ethic or customer service. - New POS/inventory system is absolutely awful. It has made every part of work difficult and unnecessarily time consuming. Customers are not happy with the service we provide since the system transition.

Pros

401k is good Benefits got more affordable

Cons

The biggest con is what must these big companies fail to focus on. Money. If to ask, even if you document measurable results ,that i spent a long time composing. You are told that other mechanics get the same or around the same pay. Then say no. Going the extra mile everyday, doesn't get you anything . Yes it's pay. We start a little better than market. But don't go up from there. Yes not right. Not we cannot get any overtime to make up for the lack of raise . It forces good mechanics out . Also they focus way to much on irrelevant things like dei etc .it should be the work you do not what you look like.
