Pros

Nice coworkers, enjoyable social events hosted by work and insurance carriers. There is nothing else good to say about the job.

Cons

If I could give zero stars I would. No raises, no promotions, overworked, tenure not rewarded, management sees workforce as replaceable so revolving door of employees in and out. Some producers treat those who are in supporting roles like garbage and team leads don't stand up to them. The management team for analysts is ineffective. The management team is two individuals. One is nice but over promises to producers without checking in with the analyst to see if time is available to work on the adhoc projects. The other team lead is condescending, rude, and does not have a full working knowledge of all aspects of the job. She is in charge of training new analysts but is unable to train effectively or make time to assist new analysts as she has other job duties as a team lead which take precedent. She won't let others train new analysts even though there are other team members who are more competent on different topics than she is. She talks down to new employees when they make mistakes (mistakes which are made due to her lack of training). Both leads had only been on the team a few years before being promoted and cannot effectively lead the team.

Pros

You get out of it what you put into it. Autonomy and responsibility if you are fluent in the principles of extreme ownership. Think of it like running your own business as an entrepreneur, with a deep well of resources at your fingertips to help you be successful. High upside if you are willing to put in the work! (and that doesn't mean 50 hour weeks or unmanageable workloads)

Cons

If you don't have an open mind, are closed off to learning new things, and don't have a "how can I help" mentality, this may not be the best fit for you. Pay (base salary) may be slightly lower than other consulting firms, but total rewards package in the aggregate is competitive, and high upside potential with career path opportunities.
