Pros

This company need to see the bigger picture

Cons

I left this company over a year and a half ago and yet I am still harassed by someone who is now a supervisor subsequently my husband's supervisor who i filed a complaint about when I worked there. I also filed a complaint about the same person while working with a competitor and now I have filed another complaint while working with another competitor. This man has not only taken to harassing myself but my husband who was injured while preforming his job for the company and subsequently was lied about and refused proper compensation for nearly a year had to come back to work here and is now a target because he is married to me he has been written up sent home numerous times early because he was spotted at or near a job that I was working he has been targeted and even been shown up on. We work in the same industry we get the same calls we might end up in the same place from time to time. This company holds grudges and is revengeful And this is in no way professional. I have had to go out of my way to avoid interaction with this company they refuse to recognize this unprofessional acts. This is the environment they are promoting. I am not the only ex employee who has been mis treated or had their marks messed flags moved vehicles messed with or just plain harassed. You are what you associate with or allow to happen around you. This behavior should never be okay or accepted and never encourage.

Pros

They train you on how to use the equipment and provide you with a company work truck. The pay is fair for the work you perform and there will be good days and bad days. Raises are given based on damage record and driving record (based on the event monitoring equipped on the work truck.) This is a job that requires initiative and motivation to learn, and be prepared to walk ALOT. Utilities may run through tall grass, deep ditches and through the middle of wooded areas. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, the Supervisors and other techs are more than willing to assist. I enjoyed working for USIC and would recommend it to anyone with a little self motivation and good work ethic.

Cons

Vehicles have cameras which can feel invasive. Summers are hot and winters are cold, prepare accordingly. Locate areas can be dangerous to traverse so stay aware of your surroundings at all times and document conditions.
