Pros
It was fun working alongside the troops and making an impact in the community we worked in.
Cons
-Work Life balance is the worst. Salaried positions easily work 50+ hours a week. - Lack of training from so many levels but then chastised for not doing something the way it was taught In a video you watched a year prior. -So much wasteful spending of donor money. Higher management stays in fancy hotels and comp tons of meals. -lack of support from HR -if anything they are aggressive and accusatory when you bring up an issue. - No ramifications if you have to deal with unruly staff. You can’t write them up you just are expected to do their job for them. - You have no support and the community sees it. - The pay is absolutely the worst for what’s expected of you to do in your job. You will be told- we are a Non profit.. all non profits don’t pu the best. That’s a lie many Non profits don’t waste fully spend what could be redirected to better staff pay. Many non profits pay a lot better.
