Fast-paced--be ready to learn a lot in a short amount of time. Their grant funding also fell short, which was definitely a con as they could no longer pay me.

Excellent facilities; cutting edge research into anti-oxidants, spider silk/materials engineering/process engineering/genetic engineering; brilliant people and exciting atmosphere.

Highly competitive as it regards the career positions. However, there tends to be plenty of room for a dedicated and hard-working student seeking research experience and an opportunity to contribute.
