      Pros

      Good research atmosphere, Most of the PI have good funding or departmental backing.

      Cons

      Low pay. Infact with the amount of hours an RA works, the wage is less than minimum/hr. Parking is expensive. No bonus like MD Anderson.

      Great benefits and medical insurance coverage, very collaborative atmosphere with faculty inside and outside UTHealth, cutting-edge research.

      Cons

      No more job security for early career investigators due to recent budget constraints.
