Pros

Teams are made of good people

Cons

Leadership is bad. very bad. The public facing leadership (CEO) is going behind the back of other leaders and talking badly about them to multiple engineers and it is very unprofessional. The CEO pressured us to going into the office during COVID even though we can work from home easily in software. He sent us demoralizing emails telling us we were not being productive from home and very patronizing in tone. The CEO cut all our pay because of COVID but refused to be transparent about the standing of the company and said if we didn't trust him to leave. So far 4 or 5 people left including senior engineers and its is dropping every week. The CEO did not do anything about restoring the salaries or taking it seriously until people had already begun leaving. When we ask about serious questions like how we will be compensated for time under paycuts we are treated like children who shouldn't dabble in business matters. I expected better of a company that claims to value engineering. I don't think I will be staying for much longer and have been trying to leave since January.

Udelv Response

All employees were given at least 2 weeks notice prior to Udelv transitioning out of delivery operations and testing pilots. It was my understanding that employees were told that these were pilot programs. Since we also felt that providing notice wasn't enough, all employees were also offered the opportunity to interview with our partner company for the exact same jobs, at the same pay, based out of the same location. It was up to each individual to decide whether or not they wanted their new position. It was also my understanding that many, if not most, that opted to do so were hired--at multiple locations across several states.
