Pros
-Bond with and get to know so many wonderful dogs.
-Shifts do not end late (latest is 8:45, however 90% of the time duties are completed by 8 pm.)
-Do private services like walks and private plays one on one with dogs.
-Help with fun dog birthday parties (you get to bake the cake/treats, take pictures and play with the dogs on your shift).
-Breakroom has an actual cabinet with dishes, cutlery, along with coffee pot, microwave, fridge, and regular snacks for all employees.
-Employees are kind and most are hard-working.
Cons
-Often understaffed.
-Difficult to adapt to when first starting (you're "thrown to the sharks", employees that train you all have different methods and routines for duties making it hard to understand, many small things to remember that aren't established from beginning, etc.)
-Overwhelmed with work often due to understaffing.
-Things break or stop working semi-often, like the washing machine, hoses, etc. that can cause backup in work.
-Manager is often late and may not show up when promised (missed meeting with me, has not shown up to open in the AM, etc.)
