Pros

Ulta is absolutely a great COMPANY to work if you like brand specified training and opportunities to move up. The trainings range from videos, to going out of town (Houston) for specific brands. There are also in-store events which allows you to be a little more hands on if you are a Prestige Consultant. They are pretty decent about allowing you to have days off if you mark it on the calendar in advance.

Cons

This specific location has poor management, favoritism and pretty girls with UGLY attitudes. Loads of gossiping and no help from ANY of the managers if you're looking to solve any problems. The schedule is NEVER done on time, so you seem to always have to ask if you work the upcoming weekend if you don't work on a Friday or Saturday. Don't even ATTEMPT to ask for any Spring Break day off if you didn't mark it a month or two ahead of time on the calendar. You won't get it off and most likely you will get in trouble if you call-in even if it's for a vacation you had planned MONTHS before. The Christmas season hours are RIDICULOUS. If you like to be home for the holidays, don't count on being out of there by 10pm....you'll be gone by 1am. They are open all day on Easter as well even though it is completely DEAD.

Pros

Great discount Gratis is good but having worked for Sephora as well, theirs is way better. Fun customers most of the time

Cons

Glorified babysitter when your team is incompetent Store can quickly become a wreck when one manager isn’t pulling their weight Too many hats in this role and way too overbearing. I thought I’d need to see a neurologist for migraines but it turns out I was just way too stressed in my role. ai. And a big push for more and more ai in the future.
