Pros

The free flights benefits (space available) is great, although it is getting harder to non-rev. It is fun to check passengers in for their flights and get them to their destinations on time. You get to know many of the premier frequent flyers on a first name basis. It is rewarding to also help people salvage their vacation plans when flights ate delayed or cancelled. Job is quite varied between counter and ramp work.

Cons

Poor wages. After 11 years had to take a $3/hr pay cut. Capped out at just a little over minimum wage! The company also keeps cutting available man hours while increasing our flight loads. So we have to keep doing more and more with less people, to the point of sometimes compromising safety. DGS employees usually have to do much more than mainline employees, but with much less pay and benefits.

Pros

No pros to working at Unifi. The Airport is beautiful and people are great. Unfortunately the employees work very hard for little pay and support from Unifi.

Cons

The company has significant internal issues that are not adequately addressed by Human Resources. There appears to be a culture of covering up problems rather than resolving them transparently. Leadership seems more focused on employee retention metrics and maintaining appearances with the airlines they serve than on addressing serious workplace concerns and holding individuals accountable. One of the most concerning examples was the handling of a manager who allegedly inappropriately harassed employees over a period of years. Despite ongoing concerns, meaningful action was not taken for years.. Situations like this create an environment where employees lose trust in leadership and feel that workplace misconduct is not taken seriously. This company should prioritize employee safety, accountability, and ethical management. Addressing serious concerns promptly and transparently is essential to retaining good employees and fostering a healthy workplace culture.
