Pros

If they let you go, the severance package is fair. Based on your years of service. I’ve also heard consistently that if they let you go & you’re very close to retirement, they’ll bridge the gap somehow. One of my friends employment was extended for 4 months, so she could receive a severance and receive full retirement benefits. If I remember correctly, they even hired her back as a contractor after a year. Only found out after seeing her at the company cafeteria

Cons

As with all banks, we’re moving to lower cost geography. Jobs are being cut and sent elsewhere. Some people are able to work remote, some are just cut. For those departments that are moved from CA, to AZ or other locations, the talent is lost. Systems and procedures are not well written to where a new employee with/without banking experience can work at full capacity, or full speed.

Pros

Decent pay and good benefits. Management is experience

Cons

Antiquated system software. They do things in a very old school way.
